Fear not! I am back this week with some great tunes, as well as a look back at the Top 10 Alternative hits of 1985.

We start things out with Artists Against Apartheid's "Sun City". The album and single raised more than a million U.S. dollars for anti-apartheid projects. It premiered at the United Nations, thanks to the Special Committee Against Apartheid and UN officers. The record never achieved the financial success of "We Are the World," and with the end of the apartheid regime in 1994 and the reintegration of Sun City and other former nominally-independent regions into the South African state, "Sun City" ceased to be a contemporary protest and became a historical document; any pledge to boycott Sun City or other similar places in South Africa became superfluous. Plus, it's a got a good beat, and you can dance to it.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood makes an appearance this week with the not-often heard video remix version of Two Tribes. You'll also hear music from Trio, Strawberry Switchblade, Oingo Boingo, and Yazoo.
